Today I finished filling up the notebook that I started about 2.5 months ago. That's pretty fast. I must have a lot to say. I've been spamming posts in the friend-discord. I'm not sure if those posts are getting read, but I wouldn't blame anyone if they weren't. Either way, it means it's probably time to dust off the old "website".
It's November! Truly, I love the feeling of November in this ecosystem.
November is a special month for me. When I was in college, I heard about the mythical NaNoWriMo, or national-novel-writing-month. I tried to write a novel. I got about 2 pages in. But the year after that, I tried again and I got 10 pages in! This was the beginning of a tradition I have with myself, and which slowly morphed over the years to come: Whereas in those first years I became flush with a naive and virile will to Create, free of any knowledge of "how" or practicality, I eventually came to use the month of november as a month where I Focus on creativity, or create a new project and commit to working on it every day. Often this has a writing component, but not always. Last year, for instance, I did a pencil drawing every day in november. That was around when I decided to "get good at drawing". I would, soon after, fling myself into the dunning-kruger valley.
So, it's not truly a "novel writing" thing for me; it's a, uh, PERsonal PROject MAking MOnth, a PerProMaMo.
So what am I doing this year? The short answer is that I'm (once again) writing youtube videos for my channel Suspicious Wall. (but this time they're going to be good! or at least, Interesting. lol)
